It feels like it used to. I feel like I have determination. Power. Discipline. All because I made it through a Friday and Saturday night without binging. Can you imagine that this is so incredible for me. It feels like months.

I am not stressed like I used to be. In fact, a multitude of things has gone wrong and I am not frantically trying to make everything better. My toilets were blocked 2 days in a row, and the plumber came out twice. Am I phased and worried? Yes, but at a certain point I had to ask myself, is this useful?

It wasn’t. I let it go and went to bed. I cannot control the time the plumber shows up or if in fact he will return my calls. Nothing nada. I just had to be. You’ll understand the next time your toilet gets blocked on a Friday night.

Packing my lunch is getting easier. Yesterday, I was freaking out because I thought I needed to order lunch. I forgot that I remembered to bring lunch. I had put it into the office fridge in the morning. Then I got home and made myself a reasonable dinner, and went to bed. Once again no binging. Even tonight… I made one entree, a small souffle as my starch and had a small desert.

Let me be honest. I did feel like going out and buying cream and waffles and whatever else nonesense that I usually pile into the larder of my tum tum. I then told myself tomorrow is a cheat day. A few hours away. And I could have ANYTHING. Absolutely anything my little heart desires.

My heart does not desire pizza as my co-worker presumed. It’s strange when you are allowed anything, it turns out it is not he obvious junk that you want. It’s the sentimental junk. Beans and corn.  Or French bakery eclairs. Toast. A large bowl of custard. Peaches.
